You can't wait for inspiration; you have to go after it with a club. - Jack London

Hey friends, can you believe we are already knee deep into the first month of 2025?

I hope you are digging into the new year with love, peace, and optimism!  How did you do last year?  Did you accomplish all of your goals, or did you struggle with some?  I am a mix; I definitely met some, and some are a work in progress.  Some of my former goals have changed and have been released.

I reached out to a handful of my clients and asked them about their goals for 2025 and the action steps they are taking to reach them.  Let's see what they had to say, and perhaps we'll find some inspiration and great suggestions!

My personal and professional goal is to work less and spend more time with family and friends, while increasing my net income. I have loved scaling my agency so quickly. However, I am working on putting systems and a team in place, so the agency can still run at peak performance, even when I am not working.

Actions I am taking to make this happen are:

I plan to continue building out a top-tier team, work on delegating more and setting better boundaries around work.

I have already hired an online business manager and a new social media manager, and I am excited to see what my team creates in 2025!

Every year I set goals on the first day of January, and I think long and hard about them. I write them down and I always do a six month check point to see how I am doing and then of course I check back at the end of the year. This year, my goals are similar both personally and professionally. They are focused on well-being and creating personal time for myself. I am creating time blocks so that my days stay organized, and they do not control me. I recently read the 5 AM Club and I loved the idea of getting up earlier before everyone else begins their day.  This way I can have time for myself to spend exercising and catching up on industry news and planning my day while enjoying my coffee. I'm confident my professional career will continue to be successful, but it won’t matter if I'm unhealthy, overstressed or overwhelmed.  So, this year I'm making time for me first! I'm committed to the 20/20/20 rule! I’ve chosen to do it 4 days a week with rest days Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  I feel I'll be more successful with starting slowly! Btw, my word for 2025 is “positive “. I want every circumstance and outlook to be viewed in a positive way!

My personal goal is to get healthy for my baby and family, that means starting to eat healthier/work out a little more and just take care of my body! Also make more time for my family because there is never enough hours during the day and life just passes us by in a blink of an eye! Professionally, just remaining to keep my clients happy and keep creating beautiful hair, makeup and most importantly relationships with them!

My goal for 2025 touches both personal and professional. I am going to work on losing my ‘significant to many’ attitude and focus on being significant to those causes & people that matter most in my heart (including me!). The three actions I will take to achieve this goal are: 1. Not to let guilt drive my decisions, be authentic & mindful about where I place my efforts & attention (practice using the word No); 2. When addressing my professional schedule, don’t feel intimidated to work around my personal appointments of fitness & health (care for the caregiver); 3. Give myself grace at the end of the day when I haven’t checked off every box on my To Do list (it runs long ….). I have failed at task 3 already in 2025, but tomorrow is a new day - Thrive in 2025!

One goal for me in 2025 is to stress LESS & unwind MORE. I've been doing more yoga, unwinding before bed with a book or a show, and focusing on my business goals with more intention (so that I don't "worry" about work in my after hours or on the weekend). I realized in 2024, I wasn't really taking much "recovery time" from work & working out, so I'm being more conscious of that this year.

One of my professional goals for 2025 is to grow my brand as a fashion, wellness, and travel influencer, with the aim of securing more collaborations and expanding my audience. To achieve this, I plan to create a consistent posting schedule, focus on high-quality, niche-specific content, and engage more deeply with my community. I’ve already implemented a content calendar and invested in upgraded equipment to enhance the quality of my visuals.

My goals for 2025:

Personally: Continue working with my functional doctor to improve my health.  Incorporating mindful breathing and other holistic methods as well.  Continue working out at the gym and taking training classes, working up to five workouts per week.  Get back to counting macros, stop working by 9:00 p.m. and getting to bed by 10:00 p.m.  These last two are my most challenging goals as it's already 9:39 p.m. as I write this blog post, and I am just getting started. Ugh.

I love to read, and I want to read 52 books this year.  (Business, health, self-improvement, mysteries, and beach reads.)  I also want to get back to regular participation in bible studies.

Professionally: I will continue to help people tell their story and document their life with meaningful portraits.  In addition, there is a genre that I am interested in adding to my repertoire, and I have been testing the waters.  I am also working on a MEGA EXCITING collaboration, and I can hardly wait to share the news!  I am also going to launch another podcast and get back to the fun interviews in which I talk way too fast but also laugh a lot with my guests.

My action steps in goalkeeping include writing them down and keeping track in both my planner and my phone calendar.  I like to reread and reevaluate my goals throughout the year to check my progress.  I also share my goals with several people because discussing them helps me to stay on track.
